Modern:
Iro wa nioedo
Chirinuru o
Wa ga yo tare zo
Tsune naramu
Ui no okuyama
Kyou koete
Asaki yume miji
Ei mo sezu

Translation:
Even the blossoming flowers
Will eventually scatter
Who in our world
Is unchanging?
The deep mountains of vanity--
We cross them today
And we shall not see superficial dreams
Nor be deluded.

Modern Kanji:
色は匂へど
散りぬるを
我が世誰ぞ
常ならむ
有為の奥山
今日越えて
浅き夢見じ
酔ひもせず
